QLabs, also referred to in this Privacy Policy as “QLabs,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you:

Contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, company or institution, and mailing address.
Account information, such as your username, password or other authentication information, membership status, account preferences, and age-verification confirmation.
Order and transaction information, such as products ordered, order date, purchase amount, billing address, shipping address, delivery information, discount information, returns, refunds, and transaction status.
Payment-related information, which may be collected directly by a third-party payment processor. QLabs may receive transaction confirmations and limited payment details, such as the payment method and the last digits of a payment card, but should not be sent payment information through email or the general contact form.
Communications, including emails, contact-form submissions, customer-service requests, complaints, reviews, and other messages you send us.
Uploaded information, including files, photographs, research documentation, certificates, institutional documents, resale or tax documentation, and other materials you voluntarily attach to a communication.
Research or business information, such as your laboratory, academic institution, company, professional role, intended research category, requested product information, and documentation supporting a lawful research purpose.
Marketing preferences, including newsletter registration, communication preferences, and responses to promotions.

The Services use Google reCAPTCHA or similar security technology to distinguish legitimate users from automated or abusive activity. Information processed through reCAPTCHA is subject to the applicable provider’s privacy terms.
Some website, analytics, security, and technology providers may collect technical information about your online activity over time and across different websites or online services. This may include IP addresses, cookie identifiers, device information, and website-interaction data.
QLabs does not authorize third parties to collect consumer health data across websites for targeted advertising.
You may be able to manage nonessential cookies through the QLabs cookie banner or through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect account, shopping-cart, security, or other website functions.
QLabs may send marketing emails when you subscribe, create an account, make a purchase, or otherwise agree to receive them as permitted by law.
You may unsubscribe by selecting the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or by contacting QLabs. Unsubscribing from marketing messages will not prevent QLabs from sending nonmarketing communications concerning an account, order, transaction, security issue, or legal notice.
QLabs retains personal information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:
Retention periods may vary depending on the type and sensitivity of the information, the nature of the relationship, legal obligations, and whether the information is required for an actual or anticipated dispute.
When information is no longer required, QLabs may delete, de-identify, or aggregate it. Information stored in backups may remain until the applicable backup is overwritten or securely retired.
Consumer health data is also subject to the deletion provisions in Section 11 below.
QLabs uses reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, destruction, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No internet transmission, email system, website, or storage system is completely secure. QLabs cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will never defeat our safeguards.
Customers should use unique passwords, protect account credentials, log out of shared devices, and avoid submitting sensitive information through ordinary email.

QLabs may need to authenticate your identity before processing a request. We may deny or limit a request when permitted or required by law, including where information must be retained for transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, safety, legal, or recordkeeping purposes.
Although QLabs does not currently sell covered information as defined by Nevada law, a Nevada consumer may submit a verified request directing QLabs not to make a future sale of covered information associated with that consumer.

QLabs will respond to a verified Nevada sale opt-out request within 60 days after receipt. When reasonably necessary, QLabs may extend the response period by up to 30 additional days and will notify the requester of the extension.
QLabs will not discriminate against a consumer for submitting a privacy request.
This section applies to “consumer health data” subject to Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A.
It does not apply to information or entities exempt under applicable law, which may include information regulated under HIPAA, qualifying federally regulated research information, properly de-identified information, and other information specifically exempted by law.
QLabs provides research-use-only products and does not intend to collect information for the purpose of identifying, diagnosing, treating, or evaluating a consumer’s health status.
QLabs does not intend to:
Customers should not submit personal medical information, patient information, treatment records, or information about an intended human or animal use.
However, information may be considered consumer health data if it is personally identifiable and QLabs uses it to identify or infer a consumer’s past, present, or future health status. If QLabs receives or processes such information, the remainder of this section applies.

QLabs does not intentionally collect precise location information for the purpose of identifying a consumer’s attempt to obtain health care services or products.

Website-security and analytics providers may collect technical information such as device identifiers, cookie identifiers, IP addresses, and website activity. QLabs does not intentionally provide these providers with personal medical records, diagnoses, treatment information, or other consumer health data.

Do not send medical records or other sensitive information in the initial email. QLabs may provide a more secure method if additional information is needed.
QLabs may request additional information when reasonably necessary to authenticate a request. QLabs will use authentication information only to process and document the request.
QLabs will respond without undue delay and no later than 45 days after authenticating a consumer health data request.
When reasonably necessary because of the complexity or number of requests, QLabs may extend the response period by up to 45 additional days. QLabs will notify the consumer of the extension and the reason for it within the initial 45-day period.
QLabs will ordinarily process qualifying requests without charge. A reasonable fee may be charged only where permitted by law for manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive requests.
No later than 30 days after authenticating a qualifying deletion request, QLabs will:
Data stored in an archived or backup system may be retained for the period allowed by law, which may be up to two years after the request is authenticated when necessary to restore the archived or backup system. During that period, QLabs will not intentionally use the retained data for another purpose.

QLabs is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of an independent third party. Information you provide directly to a third party is governed by that third party’s privacy policy and terms.
When you use the Services on behalf of a laboratory, company, university, institution, or other organization, that organization may control information associated with your account or transaction.
You represent that you have authority to provide personal information concerning another person and to instruct QLabs concerning that information.
QLabs may update this Privacy Policy to reflect:

Material changes may be communicated through a prominent website notice, account notification, email, or another appropriate method.
